As the series continues here on the Drunken Hobo with great presidential speeches this one stands out in my mind, not so much as a great speech but more importantly a historic one that marked a rough time in you nations history with the Watergate scandal and such. Take a moment to watch as Richard Nixon resigns his presidency.
The speech I would like you to all hear and remember is the speech that Franklin Roosevelt gave on December 8th, 1941 in which he stated that Peal Harbor had been attacked. Near the end of the speech he says, “No matter how long it may take us to over come this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory!” He doesn’t even think for a second that we are going to lose. That is why this one makes my list.
